Since 2017, Toni-Marie has been producing public programming, designing and writing in short form media, and creating community in Los Angeles. Their cultural work has been in collaboration with Sundance Institute, WIF, Mubi, and Magnolia Pictures, and with collectives such as Untitled Latinx Project. They’ve produced events with or designed sets for brands such as ViacomCBS, Buzzfeed, and Netflix. They’ve worked with grantors such as Community Partners, Los Angeles Department of Arts and Culture, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, and Long Beach Arts Council.

They hold a Bachelor’s degree from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. They are the Founder of Queer Film Club (Q.F.C), a free arts programming initiative that aims to create inroads to autonomous civic engagement in the queer community. In 2020, their short film BEAUTY STANDARDS made its international premiere at Berlin Feminist Film Week. The film continues to screen at homes for art film such as the Nuevo León based festival Esto Es Para Esto and the Eureka University Film Festival in Botogå, Colombia. There, Toni-Marie was invited to speak on Cinema and Protest, a panel around using the medium as a way to expand identity. Academic and festival programmer Nicolas Garzon Ortiz said of the film “it is specifically [of] the collective [...] it represents a union of different voices that want to demonstrate outside the centers of power, also struggling to show an identity in front of the very communities they represent, from a firmly political and social point of view.”

They are currently the Manager of Institutional Grants & Membership at WIF, an ngo that focuses on gender equity in the screen industries. Born and raised in Los Angeles County, (Tongva/Kizh land), they are a mixed-generation queer Chicane person who is passionate about social impact media, public art, and redistributing power.
